The Bildungsroman of Breakfasts

Hey, you know what’s a fun word? Bildungsroman.  It’s a genre of novels dealing with a person’s formative years or spiritual education.  Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations is a prime example.  In the novel, the main character, Pip, encounters a series of experiences and characters throughout which highly influence him during his youth.  Hence, Bildungsroman.

What the heck does this have to do with crepes??  Well, my friends, I’d like to introduce our new breakfast crepe, “Great Eggspectations” (see what we did there?).  Scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, kale, Roma tomato, and garlic-Parmesan ailoi.  This crepe will transform your breakfast into a truly formative experience- a spiritual education, you might even say.  It’s the Bildungsroman of breakfasts!

Don’t believe our “Great Eggspectations” can re-shape your entire relationship with breakfast? Mention this blog post when you order the “Great Eggspectations” and you’ll get 10% off! This discount is only available at our cafe in Coolidge Corner and only until March 1st, so hurry in.  Make Charles Dickens proud and let us make your morning truly formative.
