Crepes: The Ultimate Street Food

Jenny here, your Foreign French Correspondent (and Paris Crepe Truck Crepe Chef). While my vacation here in Paris and the surrounding countryside might be the primary reason for my stay in France, my crepe research is a very close second!

So here’s what I discovered: Launching our crepe truck did not only fit in with the new food truck movement in Boston, but is incidentally perfectly fitting with the crepe culture of Paris. True, there are traditional restaurants that serve crepes, but strewn all over the busy Parisian streets and beautiful, tranquil gardens are crepe stands which demand that crepes be eaten on the go, on the street. Voilà!! The ultimate street food: quick, low maintenance, delicious. And oh so French!

The Paris Creperie Food Truck therefore really does bring Paris to you. Your French correspondant confirms it. So next time you order your nutella crepe (or Crêpe au Nutella, if you prefer), allow Dewey Square or City Hall Plaza to transform into Paris’s beautiful Luxembourg Gardens as you nibble on your warm, chocolately, and simple Paris crepe.
